Terms of service

These terms apply to every purchase you make on iwannajournal.com (the "store"). Please read them before placing an order. By placing an order you accept these terms.
1. Who we are

2. Who can buy
The store is intended for consumers buying for personal use. You must be at least 18 years old, or have permission from a parent or guardian, to place an order. These terms are available in English.
3. Our products
All journals are handmade, mostly from limited leftover leather. We photograph and describe every piece as accurately as we can, but colours may look slightly different on different screens, and natural variations in leather (colour, grain, texture, small marks) are part of each piece and are not defects.
Many pieces are one of a kind. An item is reserved for you only once your order has been placed and paid.
Custom orders: journals made to your specifications are agreed with you individually (by message or email) before you pay. The details we agree on, together with these terms, form our contract for that order.
4. Prices
Prices are shown in euros (EUR) and include VAT where applicable. Delivery costs are shown at checkout before you pay. If you order from outside the European Union, customs duties, import taxes and fees in your country are not included and are paid by you.
If a product is shown at an obviously wrong price because of an error, we will contact you before shipping and you can choose to pay the correct price or cancel the order with a full refund.
5. Orders and contract
When you place an order, you will receive an email confirming that we have received it. Our contract is formed when we send you this order confirmation. If we cannot fulfil your order (for example, if a one-of-a-kind item has already been sold), we will tell you as soon as possible and refund any amount you have paid in full.
6. Payment
You pay when you place your order, using one of the payment methods shown at checkout (such as card payments processed by Shopify Payments, or PayPal). Payments are processed securely by these providers; we do not see or store your full card details.
7. Delivery
We ship from Barcelona, Spain. Processing and delivery times are listed in our Shipping Policy. Unless agreed otherwise, we deliver within 30 days of your order. The risk of loss or damage passes to you when you, or someone you name, receive the parcel.
8. Right of withdrawal and returns
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you can withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason. Custom-made items are excluded. How to withdraw, how to return items and how refunds work is explained in our Returns & Refunds policy, which is part of these terms.
9. Legal guarantee
All products are covered by the legal guarantee of conformity under Spanish consumer law. If an item is faulty or not as described, contact us at iwannajournalshipping@gmail.com and we will repair or replace it, or, if that is not possible, offer a price reduction or a refund. Normal wear and tear, damage caused by misuse, and the natural characteristics of leather are not covered.
10. Gift cards
Digital gift cards are sent by email and can be used towards any product in the store, in one or several orders, until the balance is used up. Gift cards do not expire. They cannot be exchanged for cash, except where the law requires it or as described in our Returns & Refunds policy.
11. Intellectual property
All content in the store, including photos, texts, product designs, logos and branding, belongs to I Wanna Journal unless stated otherwise. You may not copy or use it without our written permission.
12. Liability
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to act with reasonable care. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where the law does not allow it, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for your statutory rights as a consumer.
13. Personal data
We handle your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
14. Our store platform
Our store is hosted on Shopify, which provides the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products to you.
15. Complaints
If you have a problem with your order, please contact us first at iwannajournalshipping@gmail.com. We aim to reply within 1 to 3 business days and will do our best to find a solution. You can also contact the consumer protection authority where you live.
16. Governing law and courts
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts of your place of residence.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one published in the store when you placed it.
